Viktor Gyökeres

Arsenal Are Cooking: Zubimendi Secured, Gyokeres Next!

Arsenal are not messing around this summer! Fresh off confirming the signing of Spanish midfield maestro Martin Zubimendi in a deal worth just over £50m, the Gunners are now on the verge of landing Viktor Gyokeres, the Swedish goal machine from Sporting.

Zubimendi, who snubbed Liverpool last year and fended off late interest from Real Madrid, has finally made the move Mikel Arteta has been dreaming of.

The 26-year-old is tailor-made for Arsenal’s silky, possession-based game. “Once I decided to leave, it had to be Arsenal,” Zubimendi said a clear sign of the project’s pulling power. With Jorginho and Thomas Partey departing, Zubimendi isn’t just a replacement he’s a game-changer.

But wait, it gets better. Arsenal are now so close to signing Viktor Gyokeres, one of the deadliest strikers in Europe last season with a mind-blowing 54 goals for Sporting.

Personal terms? Already agreed. The fee? Arsenal are trying to knock it down from £68m, but it’s moving quickly. And here’s the kicker Gyokeres wants Arsenal. He’s turning down other Premier League interest, including from Manchester United, to wear the red and white.

With Benjamin Sesko also once in the mix, Arsenal clearly meant business up front this window. Gyokeres is pure firepower powerful, relentless, and made for the Premier League.

Arsenal aren’t stopping there. They’ve agreed a £15m deal for Christian Norgaard from Brentford to bolster midfield depth and have reportedly discussed personal terms with Chelsea’s exciting winger Noni Madueke. A bid could be incoming.

Arteta is building something special at the Emirates. After three heartbreaking second-place finishes, it looks like Arsenal are gearing up for a serious title charge.
