Carlos Cuesta Set to Leave Arsenal for Parma – Arteta’s Right-Hand Man Gets His Shot

Massive news for Arsenal fans and European football nerds alike!

Carlos Cuesta, the brilliant 29-year-old tactician who’s been Mikel Arteta’s secret weapon at Arsenal, is on the verge of becoming Parma’s new head coach. Yep, you read that right one of the brightest minds in the game is flying solo.

Cuesta flew to Italy this week to finalise the deal and is expected to replace Cristian Chivu, who left for Inter. If confirmed, Cuesta will become the second-youngest manager in Serie A history insane!

This guy’s been coaching since he was 18 at Atletico Madrid, joined Juventus, then came to Arsenal in 2020 and became a key figure behind the scenes.

He’s known for his one-on-one tactical work with players basically a coaching genius in disguise. Clubs like Norwich came knocking last year, but now he’s got his shot.

Despite signing a contract extension until 2027 just a couple of months ago, Cuesta is taking the leap. And Arteta? Class act as always. He’s not standing in the way: “You cannot do that… People need to grow.” Respect.

Now all eyes are on who replaces him and how this affects Arsenal’s coaching dynamics. Meanwhile, on the transfer front Arsenal are cooking!

Talks ongoing for Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, both elite strikers with serious firepower. Gyökeres apparently prefers Arsenal over United (who wouldn’t?), and Sesko could leave Leipzig for the right fee.

Nico Williams? Looks like he’s off to Barça, but no love lost there the Gunners are still in the hunt for top-tier attacking talent.
