Pep Guardiola consoles Phil Foden

Heads Up, Blues: City Ready to Respond Against Chelsea

As a City fan, this one felt frustrating but not alarming.

Pep Guardiola stayed calm after the 0 – 0 draw at Sunderland, and honestly, so should we. Tough ground, physical team, constant pressing this was never going to be easy. We didn’t lose, we fought, and we showed control, especially after Rodri came on and started slicing through their lines.

Yes, we missed chances. Yes, it hurts seeing the ball refuse to go in from six yards. But the performance was there. The intent was there. Sometimes football is cruel.

City are now four points behind Arsenal, but the season is far from over. Pep said it best heads up. Because Chelsea are coming to the Etihad, and that’s when champions respond.

We go again. City don’t panic.
