Arsenal contemplate Raheem Sterling’s departure after being given Chelsea misfit

Arsenal are considering signing Raheem Sterling after being offered the Chelsea winger. Mikel Arteta wants more depth in attack, and Sterling, who has been warned he has no future at Stamford Bridge, might join one of Chelsea’s main competitors.

The 29-year-old winger is now on a three-year contract at £325,000 per week, making the trade difficult to complete.

Given his contractual status, Sterling has a great probability of staying at Chelsea, despite Enzo Maresca has warned him that he will not play a minute.

Chelsea to trade Sterling for Sancho

Manchester United are also worth keeping an eye on, since they have been in talks with Chelsea about swapping Jadon Sancho and Sterling.

Sancho might yet sign for Chelsea if no one else leaves. Aston Villa, Juventus, and Crystal Palace have all been linked to Sterling.

Neto

Arsenal will sign Neto on a season-long loan from Bournemouth, following two unsuccessful offers for Espanyol’s Joan García.

The Brazilian goalkeeper is scheduled to have a medical on Friday after signing a loan arrangement with Bournemouth that includes no option or obligation to buy.

Aaron Ramsdale

With Aaron Ramsdale’s move to Southampton confirmed, he will provide cover for David Raya.

Neto has started all three Bournemouth games this season, but he is being allowed to depart when Kepa Arrizabalaga joined on loan from Chelsea.

Arsenal aimed to replace Ramsdale with García, a member of Spain’s Olympic gold medal-winning side. However, Espanyol are reported to be requesting that the 23-year-old’s €30 million (£25 million) release clause be met.

Ramsdale will cost £18 million upfront, with Arsenal expected to receive up to £6 million in add-ons, including a £1 million incentive if Southampton avoid relegation.

Southampton are also expected to sign Maxwel Cornet on a season-long loan from West Ham.

Mark Travers

Following Neto’s departure, Mark Travers is set to stay at Bournemouth, having being watched by Crystal Palace as a potential replacement for Wolves-bound Sam Johnstone. Palace could target Nottingham Forest’s Matt Turner.

Brighton have made a €20 million offer for Nordsjaelland striker Conrad Harder, which could push the club’s spending this summer above £200 million. Sporting of Portugal has also made an offer to the 19-year-old Danish player.
