Arteta Wants Arsenal to Make Rivals “Suffer” Ahead of Villa Clash

Mikel Arteta says he wants every visiting team to “suffer” at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal prepare to face Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Arsenal are looking for revenge after a painful 2 – 1 loss at Villa Park earlier this month, where Emi Buendía scored a last-minute winner. Since then, Arsenal have gone unbeaten, winning five games, though Arteta admits they need to be more clinical in front of goal.

Villa arrive in strong form, fresh off an 11th straight win after beating Chelsea. Arteta praised Villa boss Unai Emery, saying Villa deserve their place near the top and are real title contenders.

With just three points separating the teams in the Premier League, the match could be crucial. Arsenal may welcome back Gabriel Magalhães, but injuries at the back could also influence Arteta’s plans in the January transfer window.

For Arsenal, this game is about turning pain into motivation and making sure Villa feel the pressure.
